TRAIL STARTS MONDAY

The man and woman accused in the shooting and robbery of Joe Kaluza go to trial starting Monday. Taran Helms and Hattie Gilbert were in court Thursday for a final pre-trial. Judge Tim Franken will preside, but the trial will be moved to Judge Sweeney's courtroom which can easily accomodate the handicapped Kaluza. The K-F-C manager is paralyzed from the neck down because of that incident.


NEW CAMPAIGN FROM CONGRESSMAN RYAN
Congressman Tim Ryan has developed a new concept to reach out to Youngstown State alumni across the globe. His new "Grow Home" campaign is aimed at getting entrepreneurs outside the Valley to bring their businesses here. Ryan's campaign brings the resources of his office, the Regional Chamber, and YSU together, to offer the incentives neccessary to accomodate those businesses. There are over 85 thousand YSU alumnus working in 100 countries around the world.

NIGHTTIME CONSTRUCTION WON'T WORK

Traffic issues now, or traffic issues all winter. ODOT tells Boardman township that's the choice if they move the construction at Route 224 and Tippecanoe road to the nightime hours, as requested by the township. The department says all the new lanes will be in place by the end of October on the current schedule. They would need to return in the spring to put down the final pavement.
